I have spent most of my professional career working at startups as one of the first team members. I have a background as a business administrator, however, having been part of early stage companies, I ended up doing many different things. One of those was managing providers as we expanded our office in the early days. Despite having an innate ability for design and project management, I realized that focusing on this was not the best use of my time, especially in a startup that is scaling up. I decided to go back to school and study interior design and architecture. I took numerous courses, enrolled in a Masters program and began to take on clients. After doing a handful of residential projects, I realized that there was a strong demand for commercial design, particularly in the startup world. I decided to combine my passion for startups and design to build Hue Solstice, a boutique design firm that specializes in helping earlier stage startups. Our goal is to streamline the process of designing your office so you can focus on the growth of your startup. I also take on select residential projects.
